PULITZER PUBLISHING COMPLETES PURCHASE OF
NEW ORLEANS TELEVISION STATION
ST. LOUIS, Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Pulitzer Publishing Co. (NASDAQ-NMS/MSE:PLTZ) announced the completion today of the purchase of television station WDSU-TV, the NBC affiliate in New Orleans, from Cosmos Broadcasting Corp.
The purchase price for the station's assets, including accounts receivable, was $37.8 million. In addition, Pulitzer entered into a separate non-compete agreement under which Pulitzer will pay Cosmos Broadcasting $11.6 million in five equal annual installments of $2.32 million beginning on Dec. 14, 1990.
