Nov. 2--Prestolite Electric's Arcade plant will supply alternators for all International Truck and Engine Corp. models under a new contract.
The plant's alternators will be standard equipment on International Truck's heavy and medium trucks, school buses and trucks used in construction and waste collection. Its alternators will be installed on the vehicles unless a customer specifically requests another brand.
It's not yet known whether the new work will create more jobs at the Arcade plant, which employs 450.
At the very least, the contract will help ...
