Saskatchewan's abundance of natural resources has always been one of its largest selling points, but its small population often intimidates businesses looking to set up in the province.
However, companies such as Randolph and James Flax Mills in Prince Albert are proving business can be successful in Saskatchewan, regardless of how many people live here.
"The province's market is very small and it makes no sense to saturate it," said Randolph and James President and CEO James Boschman. "That's why we immediately went after other markets when we started operations 10 years ago."
