The decline in international civil aviation in the wake of Sep. 11 has not left the Russian domestic jet fuel market unscathed.

Jet fuel stocks in domestic refineries soared over 20% from the end of August to the end of September, as airlines slashed the number of flights. Jet fuel storage levels reached 263,000 metric tons at the end of last month (see page 10). Lukoil, as one of the main jet fuel suppliers to Aeroflot, saw its jet fuel stocks rise 72% for the period.
