The general reaction to this book has been very favorable with well-known writers attesting to its quality. As a literary work, it deserves the praise it has received. The story is a very personal one, and one which I am sure resonates with many who have had a foot in both the old world and the new. In the book we learn of Rosen's memories and reflections on the lives of his two grandmothers, one American, one who perished in the Shoah.
