OSRAM SYLVANIA has announced that Alan Weiss has been named vice president and general manager of Electronic Control Systems. Electronic Control Systems, based in Lake Zurich, Ill., develops, manufactures, and markets ballasts for general and automotive lighting systems. In his new position Weiss will report to Charlie Jerabek, president of OSRAM SYLVANIA. Weiss succeeds Dr. Fritz Schipp, who has assumed the position of vice president of planning and control of factories for OSRAM.
