SAN RAFAEL -- Discreet users will soon be able to easily output content for the Web, as the company's parent, Autodesk, has acquired software tools from Media 100 (www.media100.com). The $16 million purchase includes Media 100's Cleaner family (Cleaner 5, Cleaner EZ, Cleaner Live, Charger and SuperCharger) along with the editing and streaming software CineStream, EventStream technology, EditDV and IntroDV.
The Cleaner products give Mac and PC users the ability to stream video and audio to Web sites. CineStream, EditDV and lntroDV provide Discreet with cross-platform streaming media production and nonlinear DV editing capabilities. These products are designed for ...
