Matchmakers court controversy when picking suitors for bubbly. According to The Wall Street Journal, a major California-based maker of champagne now is looking for a director of romance. That's right, romance. Among the applicants are a thrice-divorced attorney and an ex-cabaret singer--with nary a wine expert in the bunch. Whoever gets the job might find it easy because champagne naturally conjures up images of romance.
