DALLAS _ Ralph Rucci exists outside the hype and glitz of fashion. His clothes don't show up on Vogue covers. Hollywood starlets don't flaunt his label on the red carpet. And that's the way he likes it.

In fact, when Rucci was in Dallas recently to show his spring collection at Neiman Marcus downtown, he heard that Jane Goodall had been in Dallas.
