Meet the new Regimental Command Sergeant Major.
In a ceremony on 4 June 2001, Command Sergeant Major James A. Barkley became the eighth Regimental Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Chemical School now located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Command Sergeant Major Barkley was born in Columbus, Ohio, on 28 May 1958. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1976.
He has held numerous leadership positions in the U.S. Army. Most recently he served as the commandant of the III Corps Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Fort Hood, Texas. His previous assignments include command sergeant major, 2d Chemical Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas; faculty ...
