Nov. 9--David Oreck, a man so inextricably identified with his 8-pound Oreck XL vacuum cleaner that buyers may think he comes as an attachment, pulled into town yesterday.
He was saying things like "It's a great product," and "Don't buy it, try it." But don't lock the door yet. Oreck came to Philadelphia to instruct, rather than sell.
Oreck, 78, was at Drexel University to deliver a lecture on entrepreneurship and his personal marketing style to about 100 students of the school's LeBow College of Business.
