COMMISSIONER ENDORSES CATASTROPHIC REFUND PLAN
WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Reps. Bob Wise (D-W.Va.) and David Bonior (D-Mich.) said senior citizens can declare a victory because of a change in heart at the Social Security Administration (S.S.A.) over automatic catastrophic insurance deductions and refunds.
S.S.A. is planning to continue deducting premiums for the catastrophic insurance program from social security checks despite the fact that Congress repealed the program last month. S.S.A. officials said their computers could not stop the automatic deductions for another six ...
