The following are the comments of Steve Watson, Vice President, External Affairs, Lorillard Tobacco Company, regarding a statement released yesterday by the American Legacy Foundation:
"On Oct. 1, 2001, Lorillard filed a 'motion for declaratory ruling' with the Federal Communications Commission.
