SuperGen Inc. (Nasdaq: SUPG) announced today that data from a phase I/II study of its anticancer drug pentostatin (Nipent) in combination with cyclophosphamide showed a 73 percent (16/22) response rate in treating patients suffering from chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
