If you can walk, you can snowshoe.
That's pretty much the standard wisdom on America's fastest-growing winter sport. It's something even a beginner can do well enough to get some exercise and have lots of fun, and it's something you can do just about anywhere, especially if you own snowshoes.
Even if you don't, plenty of places rent or loan snowshoes for programs, from parks and nature centers to outdoor stores.
