Nov. 15--Beginning in April, Caltrain plans to stop weekend service for up to two years so workers can complete a $100 million construction project that ultimately will provide high-speed train service between San Jose and San Francisco.
In addition to the weekend shutdown, trains will operate on a single track after 9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, which could mean delays of up to 10 minutes, Caltrain officials said.
