RONSON PLANS IN 1990 TO DISCONTINUE THE OPERATION
OF ITS SUBSIDIARY, RONSON METALS
SOMERSET, N.J., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronson Corporation (NASDAQ: RONC/RONCP) announced that in late December, 1989, the company adopted a plan to discontinue the operations during 1990 of its rare-earth metals subsidiary, Ronson Metals Corporation, of Newark, N.J.
Ronson Metals, a manufacturer of flints for lighters and industrial use and a marketer of mischmetal for the steel industry has had sizable losses in prior years starting with the decline of the U.S. steel industry, the main user of mischmetal.
