Crude Oil Production. World crude oil production during July 2001 was 69 million barrels per day, up by 2.4 million barrels per day from the level in the previous month.
Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) production during July 2001 averaged 28 million barrels per day, up by 1.2 million barrels per day from the level during the previous month. During July 2001, production increased in Iraq by 1.0 million barrels per day; Saudi Arabia by 200 thousand barrels per day; Iran by 90 thousand barrels per day; and both Libya and Algeria by 10 thousand barrels per day.
