Settlement Will Provide More Wireless Service to American Consumers
And an Expected $10 Billion to the U.S. Treasury
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ --
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC); the U.S. government; more than a dozen FCC Auction No. 35 winning bidders, including Alaska Native Wireless, L.L.C.; and NextWave Personal Communications, Inc. announced a settlement agreement today that paves the way for deployment of valuable wireless spectrum and is expected to bring $10 billion into the U.S. Treasury in 2002.
