FORWARD EDITOR GOES FORWARD
Seth Lipsky, former editor of the Forward, plans to launch a daily newspaper. Mr. Lipsky was ousted from the Jewish weekly in spring 2000 because he espoused a more conservative view than the paper's Social Democrat owners.
Despite the severe economic downturn and an advertising recession that has hit all media companies, Mr. Lipsky has raised a significant amount of money toward his goal and has begun hiring staff, a source says.
Mr. Lipsky originally made his mark in journalism at The Wall Street Journal. He then spent 10 years at the Forward. Now, he's looking to take on The New York Times' Metro Section, the ...
