Nov. 17--CRANSTON, R.I.--An investment group, including former gubernatorial candidate Myrth York, yesterday offered to buy bankrupt Newport Creamery Inc. for $570,000.
Creamery Acquisition LLC -- made up of York, local lawyer Jack McConnell and Rory Riggs, a New York businessman and Rhode Island native -- yesterday presented a joint bid with Bank Rhode Island, a secured creditor, to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Providence.
