Teijin Ltd. has developed a high performance retardation film for the fabrication of reflective type thin film transistor liquid crystal displays for mounting onto mobile equipment such as telephones.
This is a phase differential film, compatible with light over a broadband wavelength. In addition, even if the wavelength is changed from red band level to purple band level, the film torsional direction can be changed by the same degree.
In general, with a phase differential film, the torsional angle will be widened with broader optical wavelength and short and long amplitudes, so that in order to increase the film effect, two of these films are used in lamination. ...
