Cheaper process to produce single-wall carbon nanotubes.(Brief Article)

In a bid to reduce the relatively high costs involved in producing single-wall carbon nanotubes, a team based at Toyohashi University has developed a technique which when fully completed, could turn out single-wall carbon nanotubes at a fraction of the costs involved utilising existing methods.

Generally speaking, most carbon nanotubes presently being produced for R & D, and for practical applications, are of the multi-walled version, but there is scope for usage of the single-wall variety in a range of electronic devices.
