Georgia's coastal islands offer some of the state's best hunting in a variety of natural habitats. On Ossabaw Island, deer hunters commonly post success rates of more than 100 percent. Over on Blackbeard Island, the nation's longest continuous open-quota bow hunts are now in their 54th year. Other islands in the chain harbor not only good numbers of deer, but waterfowl, turkeys, wild hogs and small game as well.
