Consumers expect to spend as much or more this holiday season as they did last year, predicts a nationwide study conducted November 9 - 11 by international retail and consumer products consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA). Seventy-nine percent of respondents said their spending plans remain unchanged in the last three months, and 71 percent expect to spend as much or more this season as they did last year, according to the KSA 2001 Holiday Retail Survey.
