RADNOR, Pa., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ --
Radnor Holdings Corporation announced today that it has entered into an agreement to sell its ThermiSol operations based in Finland, Sweden and Denmark to CRH PLC, an international building materials group headquartered in Ireland. Closing is expected within 30 days and is subject to customary conditions for a transaction of this type, including necessary regulatory approval.
The ThermiSol operations include seven plants that convert expandable polystyrene resins into insulation products sold primarily to the Nordic construction industry. For 2001, ThermiSol is expected to have sales of approximately $40 million.
