If commissions paid by airlines to travel agencies continue to decline, at least 700 travel agencies will have closed by January 2002, said Mexican Travel Agencies Association (AMAVDF) President Ana Moises. Between January and June this year, at least 300 travel agencies have closed as a result of declining commissions and lower demand, she said.
