Nov. 22--Two new video game systems have hit store shelves on the Coast, fighting for a share of the $8 billion a year business.
Xbox, Microsoft's first entry in the video game business, was released last week. Coast stores said sales of the system, which retails for $300, have been strong.
"It's certainly the hot item this Christmas in terms of electronics," said Mel Molina, manager of the electronics department at Kmart on Pass Road in Gulfport.
