DETROIT _ The missing antique rifle is probably a lever action made around the turn of the century by Winchester or Marlin Firearms.
The unique aspect about the gun is that it once belonged to Annie Oakley, the legendary sharpshooter who toured with Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West show in the late 1800s.
The disappearance of the rifle, worth between $200,000 and $350,000, according to court documents, has triggered a nasty estate battle among the six children of Clarence Johns, a Downriver gun dealer who left a hoard of cash, jewelry and firearms when he died in 1998.
