This story has no happy ending, but it does point out the absurdity of modern life:
The Associated Press reported the following: "A man dashing across a lake on a customized personal watercraft at about 55 miles per hour was killed in an apparent collision with a flying duck."
It seems that Leon Resnick, 31, was testing a high-powered jet ski on a Broward County, Fla., lake when he toppled from the machine. An investigation found a dead duck in the water and feathers all over the machine.
I am sure friends and associates of the young man find nothing funny in this story. I have a 31-year-old son and I would find ...
