Question: How many of you own and use a tachometer?
Some checking shows that not many technicians own a tachometer -- or, even worse, they wouldn't know what to do with it if they had one.
To become better acquainted with the tachometer, we need to know some terms that relate to motor speeds (rpm). First, the tachometer is an instrument that can give a readout of the speed (revolutions) per min of any motor or fan blade.
