Michigan Tech's Seaman Mineral Museum, in Houghton, will have a magnificent centerpiece at its new home, which is expected to be built in 2004 at the site of one of the most productive copper mines ever operated, the Quincy mine. A 33,000-pound copper boulder, measuring 18 x 8 feet and recovered from Lake Superior this past July, will greet visitors.
