Dear Dann: I just read your Nov. 15 article about children's books that were turned into movies. It was interesting, but I was left with the feeling that the only good children's books-into- movies involve a pet. ...I can see where "The Little Prince" was left off the list ... but leaving off "Mary Poppins" with its stellar performance by Elsa Lanchester as Katie Nana?
And speaking of Ms. Lanchester: Regarding your statement, "Elsa Lanchester, 'The Bride of Frankenstein' before Andy Griffith started calling her Aunt Bee..." I have to respectfully ask: What drugs are you on? Although it's always possible that Andy took Elsa to bed after ...
