LOS ALTOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 26, 2001
The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia today issued its long-expected final ruling in Rambus v. Infineon, entering an injunction against Rambus to prevent the enforcement by Rambus of certain of its patents against certain Infineon products. The order, although based on Rambus' participation in JEDEC from 1992 through 1995, includes Infineon products designed under JEDEC's DDR SDRAM standard, adopted in June 2000. As to DDR SDRAM, the order reaches some, but not all, Rambus patents.
