CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH MCCAW CELLULAR
NEW YORK, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Cellular Communications Inc. (CCI) (NASDAQ: COMM) announced today that it had entered into an agreement with McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCAWA), under which CCI would exchange the CCI subsidiary that owns a 5.56 percent interest in the Dallas non-wireline cellular partnership for 1,601,036 shares of CCI common stock that are owned by McCaw.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the filing of an application under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act and the expiration or acceleration of the required waiting period.
