The former city clerk of Minnesota's smallest city pleaded guilty Tuesday to theft of public funds. Charges against his wife, the former mayor, were dropped in a case with elements of altruism, history and revenge.
Arthur Pasko, 35, and his wife, Tara, 37, comprise one-third of the population of Tenney, a hamlet on Hwy. 55 about 5 miles from the North Dakota border.
Tenney had a budget of about $4,000 in 1999, and the Paskos were accused of taking $1,763 from a town bank certificate that was cashed that year.
