Saying there is no need for "protracted discussions," The Pyramid Cos. is pressing county lawmakers for quick approval of new tax breaks for its $1.3 billion expansion of the Carousel Center shopping mall.
"We have a choice," Pyramid executive Michael Lorenz said Tuesday. "Either we want to be a player in the tourism industry, or we don't. And if we don't, there is no project.
"It's not something that lends itself to protracted discussions," he added.
