Dick Vermeil has coached football for most of his adult life, and his experiences would fill volumes if he would put his thoughts on paper.
Yet every now and then, Vermeil, the 65-year-old Chiefs coach, sees something that makes him sit up and react as if he were discovering the game for the first time.
