Nov. 29--INTEREST IN IMPORTS, EXPORTS ACCELERATING: More Atlantans are exploring the possibility of becoming importers and exporters, profiting from the explosion in international trade.
"These are people who have traveled abroad and see an opportunity to import products that they have seen," said Job Dieleman, an international trade consultant with the University of Georgia's Business Outreach Services, citing an example. "Or, they are interested in exporting a product they have, such as a value-added food item."
