ELLENSBURG -- The three students stood together, all madly tapping away on the screens of their Palm.
From a distance, it would have been easy to assume that they were enthusiastically entering phone numbers or setting up a meeting.
Actually, they were making music.
The compositions played last week by these students included a Space Age composition called "Palms Up" and a quartet called "Palming Around," both created by Central Washington University graduate students specifically for the hand-held digital device.
