WASHINGTON--The Department of Defense told RCR Wireless News recently that the 138-144 MHz band, coveted by public-safety entities to augment their spectrum needs, "is a critical band supporting DoD requirements."
The DoD response mirrors a similar tact the Pentagon took with commercial-wireless coveted spectrum in the 1700 MHz band.
"The 138-144 MHz band is a critical band supporting DoD requirements.
