2001 DEC 3 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) expressed its disappointment October 25, 2001, with the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force's (USPSTF) recent Recommendations and Rationale statement on Newborn Hearing Screening, believing that the task force's conclusions are inconsistent with good clinical practices and may be misinterpreted by consumers, insurers, legislators, and employers.
