Nov. 30--As Sun Country Airlines halts flying to a half-dozen big cities today and tomorrow, effectively shutting down its Twin Cities hub, travelers can hear a chorus of "told-you-so's."
Most observers gave low-fare Sun Country long odds to build an air network under the nose of the nation's No. 4 carrier, Northwest Airlines, much less a profitable one. Some gave the carrier six months against Northwest, known as a fierce defender of its hubs.
"They were going against the 'A' team up there, not some J.V. squad" said consultant Michael Boyd, "and Northwest ...
