WALT DISNEY'S staff of hardworking animators were determined to give their boss a fitting present to mark his 35th birthday.

While they worked round the clock to keep him happy, they felt unappreciated by the man who had already been hailed a genius for his creation of Mickey Mouse.

Walt denied them any of the acclaim that was rightfully theirs.

He even denied them a living wage.
