LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. (NASDAQ:LPNT) today announced that it has completed, effective December 1, 2001, the purchase of Ville Platte Medical Center, a 116-bed acute care facility located in Ville Platte, Louisiana, and serving Evangeline Parish and South Central Louisiana.
