What does franchising, a board game and an Olympic hopeful have in common? They are the pieces that create a new mosaic, a game called Franchi$iT.
Franchi$iT is the brainchild of entrepreneur Loren Fossie. Based on franchising principles, players of Franchi$iT pay royalties to whoever controls the franchise chain and collect profits for the franchise units they own. Each player gets $150,000 in venture capital to use in building the wealthiest franchise empire, and wheels and deals with opponents throughout the game? The game ends when all franchises are purchased--the winner is the wealthiest player with the most cash and franchise units.
