Like last summer's "American Outlaws," "Texas Rangers" is another western based on a true story that treats its Wild West setting like a theme park or a tumbleweeds episode of "TRL."
This movie's piece of history is the re-formation of the Texas Rangers in the 1870s to fight off bandits who dominated south Texas after the state troopers disbanded to fight in the Civil War.
