Dec. 2--Emerging markets have rebounded strongly following a sharp decline after the 11 September terrorist attacks and are a warrant on global recovery for next year.
With the exception of Argentina (down 10.7 percent), emerging markets have enjoyed a sharp recovery since the start of October.
While the MSCI World index has regained 8.7 percent since 1 October, most emerging markets have enjoyed sharper climbs. Korea, for example, regained 52.7 percent, Taiwan gained 30.9 percent and Turkey advanced by 51.6 percent. Meanwhile, Russia gained 26.5 percent and Israel ...
