Connecting, at www.cstn.org, is an organization dedicated to helping solo travelers find appropriate travel options at a reasonable cost. It also assists them in finding compatible travel companions so they can avoid the dreaded "single supplement" add-on fee charged by many travel providers.
Founder Diane Redfern recently announced that she is now offering two kinds of membership, via mail or via e-mail. She says, "It's taken four years to build a useful, expandable Web site, then figure out how to integrate our mail-based members with our Web- surfing friends."
