I have a plant that I hope you can identify. Last year I had some yellow squash that got too large and I threw them in my mulch pile. This spring, I had a plant come up in the pile that looked like a healthy yellow squash plant, so I let it grow. It started putting blossoms near the base of the plant like yellow squash usually do, but they were on long stems and they all dropped off. Further out on the vine, it started putting on blossoms and two different fruit developed. One of the fruit looked like a watermelon with stripes. It later changed to dark green and looked more like a winter squash. Then it changed to a deep orange and looked like a pumpkin. Only one of that ...
